Abstract
The selective N -formylation and N -methylation of amines with carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) catalyzed by methyltriphenylphosphonium methylcarbonate and tuned by polymethylhydrosiloxane or trimethoxysilane as reducing agents is reported.
