Abstract
Abstract The results of studies in the field of synthesis and characterization of layered double hydroxides (LDHs) obtained using solid-phase reactions are summarized. The effect of mechanoactivation conditions and the composition of initial components on the structure of LDHs and the formation and properties of the corresponding oxides are analyzed based on an example of the mechanochemical synthesis of MgAl LDHs. Data on the mechanochemical synthesis of LDHs containing the alkali metal lithium and the transition metals Ni and Co and on their catalytic properties in the reactions of aldol condensation of furfural with acetone and aqueous-phase hydrogenation of furfural are presented.
