Abstract
Our paper presents design of microstrip patch antenna of different configurations with and without slots of different shapes resonating at 2.4 ISM band. Microstrip feed has been used and FR4 is taken as substrate with relative permittivity and height as 4.4 and 1.6 mm respectively. Antenna parameters eg. gain, S 11 & VSWR have been studied. As gain is one of the limitations of a microstrip antenna, this paper proposes a design to enhance gain together with the other parameters. Ansys HFSS software tool has been used for simulation.
