Abstract

Alkali addition to a Ag/ZrO 2 /SBA-16 system for ethanol to butadiene affects a beneficial decrease in Lewis acid sites, mitigating ethanol dehydration. This results in remarkable butadiene selectivity and superior productivity over the lifetime study.
