Abstract

into life cycles assembled from other components of the Weng'an biota but support a holozoan affinity. The similarly ornamented encysted forms shared among the diverse Weng'an biota represent parallel adaptations to the temporally and spatially heterogeneous Ediacaran shallow marine environments.
