Abstract
We introduce a silica-hydroxide cycle analogous to Earth's carbonate-silicate cycle. The silica-hydroxide cycle reduces the local pH by redistributing hydroxide ions, enhances the CO 2 mass transfer, breaking current density limits in CO 2 RR.
