Abstract

Supramolecular photosensitisers comprising a ring-shaped Re( i ) tetranuclear complex and a Keggin-type heteropolyoxometalate were synthesised. They can photochemically accumulate four electrons and supply them for the photocatalytic CO 2 reduction.
