Abstract

mutation selectively impairs fetal erythropoiesis at differentiation stages that exhibit fetal-specific attenuation of protein synthesis. Developmental changes in protein synthesis thus differentially sensitize hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells to impaired ribosome biogenesis.
