Abstract
The first quaternary rare-earth oxythiogermanate Eu 3 GeOS 4 crystallizing in the noncentrosymmetric space group Pca 2 1 exhibits a novel 3D structure constructed from unique [EuOS 6 ] and isolated [GeOS 3 ] units, and NLO and ferromagnetic behaviors.
