Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze policy research and global agreements on the decarbonization of economic development. Climate change and economic development are separate and equal, and strategies should separate responsibility from action. This will be required beyond the Kyoto and Paris agreements. This study suggests a massive global public investment fund program for renewable energy technologies in developing countries. With the increasing global need for sustainable development, numerous world‐leading construction corporations have devoted significant effort to implementing sustainable practices. The linkage between climate change and development policies will make development more sustainable. Abbasi et al. describe that the escalating impact of climate change stemming from greenhouse gas emissions within OECD nations necessitates a thorough examination of the interplay between various factors influencing CO 2 emissions. Therefore, it is vital to analyze the relationship between energy transition (ET), eco‐policy stringency (EPS), green technovation (GT), and primary energy consumption (PEC) on CO 2 emissions between 1995 to 2019 for 26 OECD economies. Thus, fairness to future generations is based on a fundamental principle of equality among different generations of humanity regarding the care and use of the natural environment. Sustainability is a necessary condition for achieving justice. The moral responsibility towards future generations, which is inherent in the concept of sustainability, is also a requirement of justice. Sustainability represents a moral commitment to maintaining the conditions necessary for human well‐being, both in the near term and for generations to come.
