A systematic review and meta-analysis of the prevalence of cocaine-induced psychosis in cocaine users
Michel Sabé, Nan Zhao, Stefan Kaiser
Abstract
• Both lifetime and current cocaine users show a high prevalence of cocaine-induced psychosis (CIP). • Cocaine-induced psychotic symptoms (CIPS) prevalence is higher than cocaine-induced psychotic disorder (CIPD) prevalence. • Considerable heterogeneity among the included studies was observed. • The distinction of CIPS or CIPD allowed to reduce heterogeneity albeit to a very limited extent.
