World’s Poultry Science Journal, 1–23. https://doi.org/10.1080/00439339.2025.2543040Following publication, the publisher was contacted by a third party who said that references in the article contained incorrect information or could not be found. Upon investigation, the publisher also identified errors in the figures. The publisher subsequently requested further information and clarification regarding the accuracy of the references and figures. Although the author responded, the concerns could not be adequately resolved.The validity of the references is integral to the scientific integrity of an article. As the editor and publisher have been unable to determine the validity of the references, we are therefore retracting the article.
