Abstract
Ahern introduces rhetoric and composition scholar-teachers to the genre of soundscape. She proposes four entwinements of soundscape and rhetoric: the selection of sound sources entwined with doxa, the ordering of sounds in time entwined with dispositio, the construction of simultaneity and layers entwined with copia, and the spatialization of sound entwined with saphes. This chapter demonstrates that the soundscape can make concepts like process, collaboration, and rhetorical awareness clearly accessible for writing classes across the curriculum, at all levels of composition instruction.
