Abstract

Key insights Current conceptions of environmental management are limited and will not halt, let alone reverse, the disastrous impacts of capitalism on the planet. Ecofeminist philosophy offers a set of principles to challenge those conceptions and to build a different relationship with nature: first, by developing ecocentric connections where humanity is seen as part of the web of life; second, by revaluing epistemological frameworks to include what is currently denied by hyper‐rationalism; and, finally, by focusing on an ethic of care as a moral imperative and call for action.
