Abstract

Cascade Integrator Comb (CIC) filters are some of the widely used digital signal processing techniques. Newly designed CIC filter functions based on classical CIC filters are investigated in this paper. The focus has been concentrated on some of the factors that affect their performance, such as coefficient quantization and chosen number of bits, implementation of the algorithm (direct or cascade realization), ordering of the second-order filter sections in cascade-form, etc.
