Abstract
Agriculture was the backbone of India now it is facing several difficulties which includes diseases, selection of quality seed, water scarcity etc. One of the main issues of agriculture field is plant diseases which causes farmers a huge loss either in loss of crop or unnecessary use of drugs. Early detection of a plant disease can prevent its spreading hence the loss of yield. Disease detection can be done by using machine learning and image processing techniques. A trained model can identify diseased plant easily. A large data set is required for training which will be a major drawback as the unavailability of data set. This research proposal is to develop a machine learning based model for disease detection and classification suitable for Indian agriculture sector.
