Abstract

This article presents a Doha water treatment plant is modelling as an interval system that describes the effect of parameter variation on the system performance. Firstly, interval system of Doha water treatment plant is derived by taking some uncertainty in each coefficient of the transfer functions of the system. After that, for reduced order modelling of interval system, time moments (TMs) and Markov parameters (MPs) are found. Thereafter, an error function is formulated in terms of error between TMs and MPs. To minimize error function, a different evolution algorithm is used. The Differential evolution (DE) algorithm is an EA designed to solve problems in a variety of domains. It is compared to result calculated that reduced order model successfully approaches system response.
