Abstract
Osteonecrosis is a pathology characterized by bone death related to a lack of blood supply which and affects individuals who use mainly bisphosphonate drugs. The focus of this research is to analyze L-PRF as a treatment and prevention of osteonecrosis caused by bisphosphonate uses. The researches were done on websites like PubMed, Scielo and Lilacs databases and were selected as criteria to be part of it: concepts, mechanisms of action, function, prevalence and success rates of treatment with platelet and leukocyte rich fibrin. L-PRF is a new treatment that has gained a lot of confidence due to its great positive results in all dental fields. It has become one of the main choices today, ruling out greater possibilities of infections due to the use of autologous material, requiring no type of chemical or anticoagulant, achieving success in treatments with rapid healing, both tissue and, bone.
