Abstract

Contributes to a comprehensive review of IoT technologies and their application and effectiveness of water resources in agricultural, urban, and industrial sectors. Finally, with the help of a number of practical cases, the author focuses on IoT systems that include sensors as well as active elements, such as actuators. Such systems are systemically applied to control and manage water usage and hence have yielded a lot of achievement in this field of efficiency and sustainability. According to the findings of the present research, this technology of IoT has reduced water usage by twenty per cent and has worked effectively to improve water leak identification and reaction time. Particularly, the actual time required for identification and stoppage of leaks has decreased 12 times from 90+ mins to 25+25 mins in various contexts. The value for the tests that support this is the p-value lower than 0, which shows that statistically, in the form of a t-test, these benefits can be regarded as important and valued by the users. 01, and this proves that the observed increases may, in fact, result directly from IoT technology. It also shows the drawbacks of the IoT, namely, high initial costs for its perception and high requirements for the protection of information. These insights show that it is important for policies to adapt to the inclusion of IoT and for industries to get involved with the management of water. It also underscores how IoT is capable of making significant success in attaining international sustainability goals. The findings of this study show increased optimism about the importance of IoT in managing water resources. It formulates a foundation that serves as a roadmap for future trends and policies in this sector.
