Abstract
The paper discloses a technique for optimizing the design of a prefabricated slitting milling cutter for processing parts of rocket and space technology. Criteria are proposed and boundary conditions are considered. A methodology for applying the criteria when using a changeable multifaceted plate to equip a slitting milling cutter is proposed. The proposed criteria makes it possible to determine the most effective constructive solution for each projected precast tool based on the reduction in the range of carbide cutting inserts.
